This Concept Map, created with IHMC CmapTools, has information related to: Parts of a Plant, The teacher will make revisions to the design if she cannot find appropriate websites for the students to explore. I will teach the students the parts of a plant song. I will play a short video for the students as a class. I will use a WebQuest where the students can explore the functions of each part of the plant. The students will also play a game of which they will need to identify the correct part of the plant that corresponds with the function given., The students will illustrate their own plant and label each part. Each student will conference with the teacher and explain the function of each part of the plant. The teacher will make revision based on the data from each students conference/assessment The students will be identifying the parts of a plant i.e. flower, stem, leaf, roots and the function of each part, I will find a way for the students to identify the parts of a plant rather than only looking at a paper poster of a plant with labels. As a class, I will teach the students a song about the parts of a plant!!
