(Illeris, 2007, p. 3) key words change, complex not simply cognitive experience, behavior so this is not a behaviorist perspective on learning, anything that triggers "capacity change" such as somatic sensations, learning is (perhaps) predictable, mental e.g. addition/deletion of information, effect of learning can be invisible / not readily apparent
