Diagnostic Plan 1. Perform CBC and chemistry panel to determine dogÕs level of anesthesia risk and to look for leukocytic evidence of inflammation as well as evidence of autoimmune disease. 2. Take radiographs under anesthesia. Views may include craniocaudal and mediolateral films of both stifles; hip and hock films to determine if there is excessive bowing and/or torsion of the femur and tibia; and skyline films of the femoral trochlea to determine if it is shallow, flattened or even convex. 3. Perform orthopedic exam under anesthesia, to allow for full manipulation of the joints. 4. Perform arthrocentesis of both stifles to examine synovial fluid.
