Results While under sedation the cranial drawer examination was negative thereby eliminating a rupture of the cruciate ligament. Absence of pain on dorsal tail flexion and negative cranial drawer on left side indicate that previous pain response while not under sedation was due to bad temperament. Radiographic examination of both stifle joints showed no abnormality. This indicates that the problem is not within the stifle itslef. Radiographic examination of the femur shows a past injury in the midshaft with improper healing as evidenced by the abnormal angle of the femur on the lateral view and a increased radiopacity on the VD view.
