Hypothesis 2:

Ramon may have sustained soft tissue (muscle, tendon, ligament) damage during the 
trauma that is leading to the appearance of his clinical signs.  Possibilities are muscle tear or 
rupture, tendon or ligament rupture.  The non-weight bearing lameness and the soft tissue 
swelling/edema support these hypotheses.
