Sedated Orthopedic Examination Positive ortalani sign found bilaterally- indicates joint laxity/ subluxation Range of motion was 130 degrees in both hip joints Cranial drawer was negative bilaterally- no torn cranial cruciate ligament No crepitation or joint instability Findings on Radiographs Ð OFA Views ÐV/D Subluxation of both right and left coxofemoral joints Subluxated 50% right, 60% left Acetabulum shallow both right and left Cranial effective acetabular margin is rounded Widened joint space Possible widening of femoral neck Lateral views- Hard to evaluate due to superimposition. No coxofemoral joint luxation noted. These radiographic and orthopedic findings indicate a moderate hip dysplasia with some degenerative joint changes. These findings correlate with our history, signalment, and physical exam findings.
