Critical, isolate to hip - no response to Rimadyl. - Critical, may not be inflammatory in nature and severity of disease - owners have been carrying her up and down the stairs for a week or 2 because she is reluctant to climb up or down stairs. Noncritical, repeats finding of problem in hip - no history of any trauma. - Critical, rules out major trauma current on vaccinations, current on Frontline(r) and heartworm - preventative. - Noncritical, level of care of dog - disproportionate amount of weight being carried on the forelegs. Noncritical, repeats localization to hind limb - Mild lameness (Grade 1 of 4) was seen, principally in the right hind leg. Noncritical, repeats localization to hind limb - "clicking" in the elbow joints but was not associated with pain, reduced range of motion or crepitance. noncritical - Long bone palpation was normal in all legs. - Critical, localization to joint - No muscle pain or muscle atrophy was found. - Critical, rules out nerve damage - No neurological deficits were found. - Critical, rules out nerve damage - Hock and stifle joints were non-painful and appeared stable. Critical, isolates problem to hip - No cranial drawer sign was found. - Critical, rules out ACL rupture - No joint effusion was seen or palpated. - Noncritical - Palpation of the hip joints produced a pain reaction, more on the right than the left, and more obvious in extension rather than flexion. Critical, localizes to hip - The hip ROM was reduced to about 100 degrees. - Critical, decreased ROM normal 160 degrees - Ortalani sign was positive on the left hip but we were unable to evaluate it on the right because of pain. Critical, shows hip laxity and more severe condition on the right rules out trauma
