Hypothesis 3Ñtendon/ligament  damage

Owner  reports that  mare may have stepped  on  foal.  This may have resulted in damage 
to one or more of the ligaments or tendons in the fetlock.  Superficial digital flexor 
laceration may result in a slightly hyperextended fetlock which may cause the horse to 
bear weight on toe.
