Lame in right hind leg-helps localize the problem 3 year old spayed female- Pomeranian 11.6 lbs-small breed dog/ breed disposition Weight bearing lameness, became normal one month post trauma-previous trauma may be relevant to this current client complaint Fell off bed one year ago-previous trauma that could be original cause Lameness reoccured six months later-may be related to previous injury/ chronic problem Treated with antiinflammatory with no significant effect No progression in last six months- not a progressive problem at this point Vaccinated regularly, current on heartworm medicine, dewormed two months ago- shows owner responsibility Occasional allergies, treated with Benedryl as needed Indoor dog- Not exposed to harsh environmental conditions Plays well with other dog in the household- active lifestyle, possible additional source of trauma Fed one small can dog food per day- possible nutritional association Grade 3/4 intermittent non weight bearing lameness in right hind leg- shows severity of lameness and localizes the leg with the problem Medial buttressing right stifle- learning issue Cranial drawer negative bilaterally- ruleout cranial cruciate trauma Patella easily luxated to the medial side of the trochlear groove when in extension- possible source of the pain When in flexion patella returns to the trochlear groove- problem may be specific to extension No abnormalities in hip joint, long bones, muscles, other joints Left leg palpation pain response when cranial drawer tested and patellar luxation attempted- possible bilateral problem, or compensation pain due to right leg lameness No left leg abnormalities found Dorsal elevation of tail ellicited pain- possible spinal or nerve trauma or involvement Direct pressure to spine and lumbosacral joint ellicited no pain Sneezing episodes, last one a week ago- possible other clinical sign of infection
