Summer Line Sag

LEW HANES: In the summer might you have to reduce the flow over that transmission line due to sag?

BILL MELTON: You could, and some of the problems that we've had in the past were due to this situation.  You have to maintain a certain clearance with the ground, under-built distribution lines or even cable TV and telephone lines if a clearance has been granted to these companies to use our structures.  Even if you put 1000 amps through the line at 95 degrees, it will sag but not violate the clearance from the ground to that line.
